Shape Island (2023-…): Season 1, Episode 2 - Square's Big Prank/Circle's Plan Falls Apart - full transcript

Eager to outwit Triangle, Square plans a sneak surprise. • Circle searches for answers when a critter kidnaps her prized plant.

Square takes
his morning routine very seriously.

He feels better
when things are in their proper place.

You might say
that Square liked things just so.

I gotcha!

Triangle also had a morning routine.

He started every day
playing a trick on Square.

For example, the next morning…

Gotcha!

And the morning after that.

Got me. I know.

And the morning a--
You get where this is going.

But one morning,

Square decided
that this had gone on too long.

Square was going to prove
that he could prank too.

He was going to pull a prank on Triangle
that was so big

that it would outshine any prank
Triangle could imagine in a million years.

After this, Triangle would never
even think about pranking him again.

I'm going to pull a big prank on Triangle!

"Square's Big Prank."

Okay. Now I'm going to pull
a big prank on Triangle.

Square got to work on his big prank.

I said,
"I'll be the triangle, you be the frog."

Then we decided to switch.

What's that?

He wanted to be the triangle.
I thought I'd be the frog.

But I'm not a great jumper.

Triangle's morning routine
wasn't very much like Square's.

Hello?

Square's distraction had worked.

This was his chance.
Triangle wouldn't know what hit him.

Gotcha!

Hello, Square.

"Hello" is right.

Notice anything unusual
about your breakfast this morning?

Unusual.

Let me take a sip from my mug
while I think.

Oh, yes! I did notice one thing.

You were there standing behind my couch.

You're not usually there behind my couch
when I eat my breakfast.

At least not as far as I know.
I suppose I don't usually check.

It's not fair, Circle.

I put all that time
into pulling the perfect prank,

and it's like he didn't even notice.

And you said you moved his cup?

His mug. His favorite mug.

If someone moved
my favorite mug like that,

I don't know what I'd do.

Right.
Well, Square, I know Triangle pretty well,

and if you really wanna trick him,

if you want to prank him so hard he never
even thinks about pranking you again,

you're gonna have to go a bit bigger.

Bigger? Than the mug thing?

Bigger. Huge, even.

I know the perfect thing. What if we--

Bigger. Huge. I've got it!

I'm gonna prank
the heck out of him this time.

Thanks, Circle!

Gotcha!

Hey, Square.

What-- Get--

There is a turtle in my bed!

Gotcha--

Well, hello, little friend.

Have you come in from the cold?

I don't know how you got there,
but you can stay as long as you need.

You look like you need some love.

And I have so much to give.

Turtle.

It's hopeless. Triangle is unprankable.

-Did you go big?
-Of course I went big.

I made his art crooked.
I tied his boots together.

I even put a turtle in his bed,
and now they're best friends.

Square, listen.

Like I said, you've really gotta go huge.

I did go huge!

No. To really prank Triangle,
you've got to go

enormous!

You're right.

I have to go enormous!

Gotcha!

Wait. Square,
did you just try to prank me?

Uh-huh. What'd you think?

I mean, nice try, I guess.

But you're really not built for this.

Besides, I'm unprankable.

Is that so?

Wow! Honestly, Square,
I didn't expect that from--

Oh, crumbs!

Oh, no.

No, no!

Well, that was a bit too big.

Square,
your prank knocked my whole house down.

And the mountain as well.

Gotcha?

You went this big
just to prove you could prank me?

Circle said I needed to go big,
and then huge, and then enormous.

So, I went enormous.

That wasn't just "enormous."

That was…

That was…

amazing!

I would never even think of pulling
a prank this big.

And here I was starting to think

you wanted me to stop pranking you
every morning.

Actually, that's exactly what I--

What a fool I was!

This gives me so many ideas
for new pranks to pull on you!

Just as big as this.
Bigger! Huger! Enormouser!

Our prank war will never end. It's just…

Circle was proud of her garden.

Her prized roses.

Her delicious pears.

These rosy radishes.

This pumpkin, which--
Wow, that's a really big pumpkin.

But Circle's most cherished plant,
the one she was proudest of growing,

her favorite thing in her whole garden,

was that plant right there.

I mean-- It's not much to look at.

Not yet.

-Hiya, Circle!
-Hi, Triangle.

What are you doing?

I'm waiting for this plant to bloom.

Well, I'm gonna go play
a sneaky trick on Square. Wanna come?

Sorry. I can't.

Because of the plant?

Yes.

But my trick is gonna be so funny.

Triangle, do you see this plant?

It only blooms once every hundred years.

Do you know
how hard it is to grow one of these?

You have to plan everything perfectly
for a century.

I sang to this plant every day.

I shaded it when it got too sunny,

and shielded it when it got too cold.

I've picked off bugs and pulled out weeds.

And today it is going to flower for me.

And it is going to be beautiful.

Okay. See you later.
I hope your whole plant thing goes well.

It will.
Everything is going according to my plan.

"Circle's Plan Falls Apart."

Hey.

Put it down.

That plant.

It's mine. I want to see it bloom.

That's my plant!

Easy.

I got you.

One, two…

Give it back!

Oh, no, you don't.

Hi. Come out here.

I've got something for you.

That's right. This is for you.

It's all yours.

But you have to give me back what's mine.

Come on. Trade you.

Come on. You know you want it.

Hey!

That's my plant!

Come on. Come on.

Hey, Circle.
How's your plant thing going?

Not great.

How's your sneaky trick going?

So great.

Bye!

Get back here, Triangle!

Hi, Circle.

Triangle, get back here!

Wait.

Please. My plant.

I've been growing that plant
for a hundred years.

I just wanted to see it bloom.

I did everything right. I had a plan.

Why did you run away?

Why'd you take me all the way out here?

Was it to ruin my day?

Why?

Answer me!

This wasn't my plan.

Circle found herself
in a place she'd never been before.

She was lost.

I just wanna be back in my garden.

What's this?

Oh, my.

Wild ones.

Wha--

Wow!

Thank you.
